Meet the Doctor
Ofer M. Doron DMD, FAGD, D. ABDSM
Doctor Doron’s passion for providing a solution to his patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnea began about four years ago. “I have experienced the consequences of sleep apnea personally,” he said, “utilizing my knowledge and expertise to provide patients with a potentially life-saving solution was a no brainer”.
He graduated from UConn School of Dental Medicine in 1998 and furthered his education by completing a two-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency, also at the UConn School of Dental Medicine. Following the completion of his residency, he practiced in Torrington, CT, before being asked to return to UConn as the Director of the Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program.
Dr. Doron’s passion for primary dental care and the love for patient interaction brought him back to practicing dentistry at Dental Associates. He is committed to continuing dental education and in 2011 he received his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. It is this commitment that also propelled him to pursue a Diplomate status with the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine.

Dr. Doron is active in several national Dental Sleep Medicine societies, keeping current and furthering his education to the betterment of his patients. Doctor Doron’s knowledge of Sleep Disordered Breathing and Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome and how to apply that knowledge in the clinical setting affords the patient with the best possible treatment outcomes.
He is a member of the ADA, the Connecticut State Dental Association, the Hartford Dental Society, AADSM, ABDSM, and the AASM, and has been named “Best Dentist” in Hartford Magazine & “Top Dentist” in Connecticut Magazine in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.
He says that “keeping the lines of communications open with the patient’s physician/sleep physician is also an important part, not only in providing the best care but also in maximizing medical insurance reimbursement for the patient”.
Dr. Doron enjoys soccer, golf, and road trips. Most of all, he enjoys spending time with his wife, and their three children.
